must have to survive flu season with a toddler
works great for our toddler! we like this so much better than the frida snot sucker / similar alternatives; no nasty boogers getting into our mouths when we suction our child this season. easy and straightforward to use, suction is solid and items feels well built / high quality. definitely recommend!

Effective and easy to use
Very effective with good suction and easy to use. Just lay your baby on the arm that’s holding the pump, and use the free hand to position the nozzle on the baby’s nose. Sucks up snot very well. If the snot is too dry, we use some saline nasal drops to loosen the dried snot. Was very useful when our baby was having stuffy nose. I tried it on myself first and felt that the suction pressure felt safe enough, so I could use it on the baby with peace of mind. Once the baby got used to it after a few times, he didn’t fuss when I suck his nose. Much better and sanitary than pumps that make you suck with your mouth, also feels safer than thin ones where you stick it into the baby’s nose. If you clean the nozzle right away with some soapy water, it cleans pretty easily. But cleaning the nozzle once in a while using a straw cleaner brush will keep it clean. It seems to use hospital grade material for the nozzle and tube. They clean easily and feel very high quality. Highly recommend.

The BEST nose clearer available
Our chronological journey with nose suckers/aspirators…• Nose Frida — Because everyone apparently knows about this brand/item and recommends it. At first, it’s was a lifesaver, and it helped suck out snot very effectively. However, the downsides are the price (it’s only about $12 on Amazon, but you need to continually buy/change filters), the fact that you need to suck manually with your mouth (and essentially inhale all the already cold-inducing germs), and the parts were flimsy (so the pieces are always disassembling)…3.5 stars.• Automatic/electric nose aspirators — In an ideal world, these would be very convenient. We’ve tried a couple of different brands, but the suction power on both of them was not very powerful (which essentially makes this ineffective for stubborn colds). Additionally, there’s more cleanup because of the additional intricate parts that are involved. They also need to be charged or used with batteries and are typically quite expensive…2.5 stars.• Off-brand manual nasal suckers — Because the electric pumps were such a letdown, we went back to manual mouth-sucking pumps. We found a couple generic brand versions that were essentially Nose Fridas, but less expensive, and occasionally, more effective. The biggest issue continued to be the mouth sucking, which eventually would make us catch the cold as well or at least give us hoarse throats…4 stars.• This hand-pump nose aspirator — Initially, we were a bit skeptical because it was so large, and the round nose head wasn’t the best shape to be comfortably placed on the nose. However, after several tries, this was by far the best option. The manual hand pump delivers a consistent and strong suction (it really, really sucks well). You do not need to use your mouth, so you avoid spreading germs. Clean-up is quite easy because you only need to clean the nose part (not the pump). There are a couple minor downsides though. One, you may need at least 2 people to use this on your baby/toddler because the design of the nose tip doesn’t allow an easily securable position on your kid’s nose, and they will likely squirm. Additionally, it’s a bit more pricey than the other manual pumps, but in all honesty, this item is so effective, I think it’s worth it…4.5 stars.

Best product if you have children!
Best product ever purchased! We buy a new one yearly and it helps shorten colds and reduce chance of ear infection. Good for older kids as well! Highly recommend.

Super effective but strong
This device gives you the power of the manual suction options using your mouth but without the ick. It works really well for a toddler. The rounded nose tip would be too big and the suction too strong for a newborn nose though, in my opinion. It’s easy to take apart and only 2 pieces to clean. I do wish it had come with a tool for cleaning the narrow part but a straw cleaner will work.

Quiet and powerful
I use this on my 2-year-old after the motorized nasal vacuum would scare him. It’s quiet gentle or really strong depending on how you use it. Easy to clean and captures any mucus in the lower cup.

Dawg this works!
Just got this thing today and I’ve already filled it up twice within 2 hours. This thing is insane lol. I honestly think it’s better than the navage electric pump. It might be made for babies, but it works great for an adult also!!!!!

Works great, but likely need extra person to restrain baby
Pros:+ strong suction+ you can feel the feedback from the suction and adjust the power from your hand accordingly+ will not expose your lungs to the baby’s bacterial or viral particles+ only 2 small parts to clean after each use+ simple designCons:- requires 2 hands to use; therefore, you likely need an extra person to restrain the baby’s head and armsThis product is amazing. The suction is really powerful; you just have to make sure to get your baby’s boogers wet enough with saline so they can be sucked out.Our newborn was snorting and having a lot of difficulty breathing through her nose. We sprayed in some saline solution, but it probably wasn’t enough because we couldn’t suck anything out with the pump at first. We then thought maybe it wasn’t a blockage but instead just too dry in our house; so we turned on the humidifier, but that didn’t solve anything. Finally, I happened to notice gigantic boogers in the back of my baby’s nostrils. After making sure the boogers were wet and soft after dripping in saline, it took about 4 pumps to get the everything out. Boy were they gigantic! My newborn is now breathing clearly again thanks to this product.
