This is much better quality than other tea tree oils I have tried. I’m so happy to have finally found a good one that works quickly for my cold sores. I also use it for head lice. Not all tea tree oil works on killing head lice. It has to be a high-quality strong, tea tree oil, And this one works.Having three daughters, it’s an unfortunate issue I’ve had to deal with quite a few times and this tea tree oil always does the trick. While I watch other parents suffer because their over the counter products aren’t working and they don’t wanna listen to me, my kids are always lice free within a couple weeks of using this. Here’s what you do:First of all you need to understand that unless you go to some kind of professional clinic, no treatment is a one and done thing. This will not kill all of the eggs so you have to be prepared to continue doing this treatment every few days to make sure to kill any missed lice eggs that will hatch.I mix about 2 ounces of this tea tree oil to approximately 3 to 4 cups of conditioner. You want the mixture to be very strong of tea tree oil. If I put a teaspoon of this mixture close to my nose it must be extremely strong smelling, almost overwhelmingly strong. If not then I add more tea tree oil. I saturate the dry hair with the mixture, place a plastic bag over the hair and leave on for 30 -45 minutes The first treatment I always leave on for 45 minutes because there will be a lot of adult louse to kill in this treatment. The next treatments I leave on for only 30 minutes since its only little baby lice (nymphs, not eggs) and they die easier. It may feel tingly or like menthol. This is normal, but it shouldn’t burn. If it does, it’s probably because the scalp has been irritated before you put the solution on. But none of my kids have ever complained. Then simply rinse wash and condition like you normally would and comb the nits out with a lice comb. You should continue Combing through the hair with the lice comb either every day or every other day for the next two weeks. And you should repeat the tea tree oil Conditioner treatment once every 3 to 4 days to kill any newly hatched eggs that were missed. You don’t have to do it every day as it takes a little over 2 weeks for them to start mating.Don’t forget to wash all your bedding and dry on high heat, Vacuum out your car and Boil your brushes, Bag your stuffed animals and plush toys for two weeks, Wash all towels, sweaters, jackets, and clothes. Repeat all of this on the days you do the tea tree oil treatment for necessary (recently used) items.Thank you.

tea tree oil has helped me immediately and immensely
I developed severe scalp itching. It started gradually with out any apparent reason. It has been bad enough that I was scratching sores. No rash on scalp from hair care products. No rash or itching in any other places that could indicate problem with detergent, dryer sheets and body soap. Frequent changes of shampoo and conditioner were useless. The only relief I had was after using conditioner with zinc. I had to use it nearly every day. I was reluctant to be stuck using that forever. I went on line looking for something to help me out. I noticed many people saying to add a few drops of tea tree oil to shampoo, conditioner, hot oil treatment and regular oil for daily use. I used a local (and more expensive) store brand. After testing my skin with a few drops of full strength tea tree oil I started adding a few (5-6) drops of tea tree oil in 4 ounces of shampoo, conditioner and oil. The results were great. My scratching declined to non existent. I started washing daily then every other day and now I’m back to weekly average. I saw that this is a natural insect repellent, so the coconut and olive oils I purchased for daily use is subbing for my usual and more expensive body oil. I got this larger amount of pure tea tree oil because of my multiple used. PLEASE NOTE: there are multiple persons advocating using this in animal and people shampoo for use on dogs and cats to repel insects and more. Many essential oils are used on pets causing them to be a rising risk for pet poisoning. Talk with your vet before experimenting.

Strong Smell When First Open, Many Uses
I do think they’ve changed their formula and the scent does not smell as pleasant as the first time I purchased this. However, once mixed in with other products for a couple days, it smells fine. I mix into my shampoos, conditioners, hair products, mix it with vinegar for a natural cleaning agent, so many uses!! It is a great product and has a long shelf life. Love that it comes with a dropper.

Good product for removing Scalp Build-up
This is my first experience buying any essential oil, and I purchased tea tree oil specifically, on the recommendation of my hair dresser, as an additive for my shampoo to help remove oil and product build-up. Good sized bottle. Seemed rather expensive to me, but it appears that essential oils are not cheap, particularly 100% pure ones. I have no experience to speak to the quality of this particular brand, all I can say is that it has certainly helped with my hair. I keep the bottle on a shelf in my shower and every couple shampoos I put a few drops on my head along with my shampoo and lather them together and something about this oil I can feel it cutting through everything right away and it’s very noticeable. My hair lathers up even soapier, and when I rinse out, my hair feels squeaky clean. The scent is strong and remains in your hair all day, but I don’t mind the scent of tea tree oil. My son on the other hand hates when I use it and calls it “that stinky smell again.” I use it on my kids’ hair too every so often to give them an extra clean rinse, and to help combat against lice, which I understand doesn’t like the smell of tea tree oil.My only negative comment, which is purely personal preference, is that the glass bottle makes me nervous based on my usage of it in the shower. I’m always afraid it’s going to slip out of my hands and fall in the tub and break. I probably would have preferred plastic, but again, that’s only personal preference. I keep it on a high shelf in the shower, though, and so far so good.
