I give it less than 5 stars for these reasons:(1) Microscopic instructions.Fortunately I have these 3.00 reading glasses in a tube at my desk:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072J9Z727?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_11They are about $12 and fit in my pencil and pen cup. Great office accessory.Back to the problems of the oximeter–(2) Massive amounts of meaningless detail in the instructions. This takes up so much space that the few necessary instructions are buried in the microscopic print.Here are some hilarious gems:”2 batteries (optional)” No, they are not optional; the device will not work without them.’International symbol for recyclable’ in a table of commonly used symbols.’Human silhouette’ and “BF” in the table. Boyfriend????Neither of these appeared to be used in the text. When this item is no longer needed it is too tiny to be scrapped out; it will be recycled to a wastebasket.This silly table took up an entire page that should have been left out to allow a larger print size.(3) What size of batteries are these? Either that was left out in favor of meaningless text or it is buried in the meaningless text. When I need to replace them I guess I’ll come back to Amazon for customer support.”Insert the batteries properly to the direction and then replace the cover.” “Properly to the direction” is Chinlish. There are about 400 native speakers of English. Get one of them to proofread — or better yet — edit such instructions.On the other hand getting it ready was mostly intuitive. Just put on some power glasses to see the + and – directions for the batteries and then just plain use. Kudos to the engineers. Shame to the writer/editor of the instructions.

Give it a little time
Just a heads up… it took about 10 minutes before I started getting an accurate heart rate. It was WAY off, at first. Maybe because it had been out in the cold? But after about 10 minutes it was accurate.

Excellent. Great for quick checks. My wife was not feeling good from a sinus infection. So I took her pulse and oxygen, and it was 88. So off to the ER. Yup she had pneumonia!
