Great brush, improved design over my old Sonicare…very satisfied
My last Sonicare toothbrush lasted me 11 years until the battery wouldn’t get through a single brushing, so I replaced it with this one.My last one cost around $100 eleven years ago, and this one was around $40 today. The new one has all the features the old one had, and also has the newer-style attachment for the brush. This design has eliminated the conical threaded “hood” that screws down to hold the brush onto the motor/battery unit. That hood trapped gunk underneath it that got pretty gross over time and was not easy to clean out. That problem is gone with this unit, since there is nowhere for crud to build up and when needed, cleaning between the handle unit and the brush will take 5 seconds. It vibrates the brush just as fast as the old one, too.The blue portion of the outside is a rubbery material that gives great grip, and the smoother white parts don’t slip either, even when wetMy only complaint with this unit is that there is no cord storage inside the charger base like the old one, but I knew that going in. The charger itself I like better because it’s simpler; it’s just a flat pedestal with an upright pin that fits into the bottom of the motor/battery unit. It’s a cleaner design that the previous one, and as a result is easier to keep clean.

Feels like a professional cleaned my teeth
This electric toothbrush does a great job cleaning my teeth. The charge lasts for about 3 weeks . I wasn’t sure about the usb charging system, but I plug it into a battery block and it charges fine. I highly recommend it.

great toothbrush, not too loud and relatively stable despite comments from some reviewers
i spent a lot of time looking at reviews for the philips sonicare products. i had an oral b electric toothbrush that i was very happy with, but my dentist recommended the sonicare so i decided to give it a try. this is the simplest (and cheapest) of the sonicare line. many of the review suggested that the gadgets on the more expensive sonicare products (3 series, healthy white, diamond care, flexcare, etc) were not really helpful (timers, pressure sensors, variable settings, etc.) and i agree. i just wanted a toothbrush that would work and didn’t want too many buttons to deal with or complexities that could break.i have had the sonicare 2 series for a month now and i’m very happy with it. some reviewers complained about the noise–it is not any louder than my oral b electric toothbrush and the noise doesn’t bother me. it is noticeable, but even my guests don’t find it annoying. some reviewers also mention that the stand isn’t very stable. this is true, but the charge lasts 2-3 weeks so i only put it on the stand when the battery is dead. the rest of the time the toothbrush can stand on the counter alone and it is very stable by itself since the bottom is very flat. overall, a great toothbrush and a great value at this price (the same brush at target was almost double the price).

Great clean but problem with build quality
I got this toothbrush after not having an electric toothbrush for a few years. My last one was a Sonicare HealthWhite that died but I had just been too cheap to replace. Finally I have and I’m so glad I did! After using this new brush for about 3-4 days, I began noticing that ‘just been to the dentist clean.’ My teeth feel polished. Very smooth. Though I’ve given the product four stars because it did not gradually get more aggressive as the product stated. It was full power the first time I turned it on. That or things are about to get insane b/c it’s already powerful. Also, the head bangs against the handle when it’s on. I tried readjusting the head to no avail. Because of this, it makes a really loud smacking/buzzing sound. If I had a SO sleeping, it would probably wake them up every AM. I bought generic brush heads as a result. It’s weird but generic may actually be better in this case. We’ll see. It’s not too annoying anymore but it is unnecessarily loud. But the most important thing is that my teeth feel/are clean. So I think the brush is doing a great job.

Sonicare clean at an affordable price
I have the much more expensive Philips Sonicare Diamond Clean toothbrush that my entire family uses on a daily basis so I bought this one to take with me when I travel. It’s basically the same toothbrush as my Diamond Clean, but without the 4 extra cleaning modes and the cool, cup charger.Sonicare toothbrushes use ultrasound waves in addition to the brushing action to more effectively break up and remove plaque and it really does work. We’ve been using ultrasonic toothbrushes for a number of years now and have the healthy mouths to prove it. And since there is a direct link between gum disease and heart disease, healthy teeth and gums give you more than just a beautiful smile. If you’ve never used a Sonicare toothbrush before, you will notice immediately that it’s a very vigorous cleaning. If you have sensitive teeth, it may even be uncomfortable at first. There is an Easy Start mode that gradually increases the power of the brushing action over a two week period to help you get used to it but for some folks, it still may be too much. Philips has other Sonicare models that have a Sensitive mode that are more comfortable for sensitive teeth. This model, however, has only the one, normal mode. There is an automatic 2 minute timer to ensure you brush for the full recommended 2 minutes, which is especially great for kids. It also alerts you every 30 seconds to switch to another quadrant of your mouth so you brush every area thoroughly. This model comes with one brush head. The brush heads should be replaced every 3 months, just like a manual toothbrush. The Philips brand brush heads are excellent but also pricey. I buy these, which fit perfectly and perform just as well, IMO. Standard Replacement Brush Heads for Philips Sonicare HX6014/13 ProResults (4, 8, 12 or 20 Pack) | Fits: Easyclean, DiamondClean, HealthyWhite, Flexcare [20 Pack]The charging base is very compact – great for limited counter space and for travel. There is a light on the toothbrush that flashes when charging and glows steady when charging is complete. When I travel, I always take my youngest son and I get about a week on a full charge with both of us using the toothbrush.I do not have sensitive teeth and I love the way it makes my teeth and gums feel. Additionally, it’s fabulous for removing coffee and tea stains from your teeth. Plus, I like that one toothbrush can keep my whole family’s teeth and gums healthy and all I need to do is order brush heads every few months. After purchasing the Blue/White color, I got this Guacamole color through Amazon Vine and and the Coral and Steel Blue colors as well. The Blue/White is the most neutral and should work in most any bathroom color scheme as it is primarily white. I’m using it for travel. The Guacamole is a lovely, light guacamole color that looks gorgeous in my spa themed bathroom that is green and bamboo. The Coral is a saturated, salmon pink color that would be great in a girl’s bathroom. I put it in my daughter’s white, gold and pink bathroom and it’s definitely pretty enough to stay out on the counter. The Steel Blue is a medium blue with grayish undertones and looks great in my tiny, blue and white, beach themed bathroom. It’s nice having all the colors to choose from so you can coordinate with your bathroom decor. The body of the toothbrush has a matte finish and it also has a textured area on the back so it’s not slippery in wet hands. I’m also glad it doesn’t have a rubberized finish because those always seem to get sticky after a year or so.If you want the Sonicare clean at an affordable price, this model is a nice choice.

I bought 2 of these as gifts. One month later one of them started turning off on its own during brushing, or turning on by itself while it’s charging
