I’ve been using the BJDesign Foldable Igusa Tatami Floor Chair for a few weeks now, and I’m really happy with it. The natural igusa material provides a unique, comfortable seating experience, and it definitely enhances the zen atmosphere in my space. I love that it’s dual-purpose – I can easily fold it into a meditation cushion when I need to meditate, then unfold it into a chair when I want to sit. It’s lightweight and easy to move around, plus the convenient zipper case makes it simple to store when not in use. My only reason for not giving it 5 stars is that it could be a bit thicker for added comfort during longer sitting sessions. Still, overall, it’s a great purchase for anyone looking to bring some serenity into their home.

Comfortable, durable
As someone who hates chairs and personally prefers sitting cross-legged over anything else, I was really excited for this chair. Though the back is very low, it is just enough to still provide a little stability to the lower back in a cross legged position. Despite the flat bottom, I found that sitting cross legged on top did not cause either of my feet to go numb after a long period of time, as happens when sitting on the regular floor or only on a zabuton. When it first arrived, it did smell very heavily of plant material, and took a few days to air out before it was ready to be used inside the house. Now though, it’s very comfortable to use when sitting cross legged, and has just enough to support to use it for long periods of time.
