Would Definitely Get Again
This chai is out of this world. Steep it in hot water in my teapot and it hits perfectly. Such a great winter blend when you’re craving coffee but want something different. It’s got enough caffeine and a lot of flavor. I’ve already put my coworkers onto this chai. Really good spice blend, great quality, and it lasts a while. Definitely getting this again.

Big pieces of each herb. Smell’s fresh. I like the taste of the ginger with the turmeric. And it doesn’t get overly spiced by the ginger, even when I steep it for a long time.

Update: I am on my 2nd bag now. I love this so much. After brewing the tea in my French press, I have started adding ground coffee and brewing coffee with the once brewed tea leaves in it and it is SO GOOD.******Original review:This tea is my absolute favorite. I was originally trying to find a tiger chai tea mix because I fell in love with the flavor at a boba shop where it is a special, and after doing some research I found that this is super close, it is just missing vanilla. I bought this so I could make my own knockoff version of the boba tea at home, and I am thrilled with it.I brew the tea at 212 degrees since it is a black tea and I steep it for at least 5 minutes. After I pour out the tea, I add a little bit of fresh tea leaf mix and I’ll make a second batch from the same leaves. I keep adding a little bit of tea and using the same leaves all day long and it works great. (I am fully aware that this may very well be considered a crime against tea to some, and I apologize if that made you cringe).The tea is fragrant and flavorful, especially the first batch made from fresh leaves. The black pepper gives it a kick that I never would have imagined enjoying if it hadn’t been for the boba shop. I just started to bottle it up into 8oz bottles to use throughout the day as 8oz is the perfect amount to put over ice and add milk in our drinking glasses. This also lets me chill it in the fridge instead of shaking it with ice and watering the tea down.I don’t think I am going to get 125 cups out of the bag as I make it pretty strong, but I am happy with it and will definitely be buying more. I have had it nine days and the bag is already over halfway gone.In my photo showing the chilled bottles of teas, the small bottle is this tea and the big bottle is jasmine.

Tastes delicious although my initial reaction was, “Yikes! This too spicy!’ Turmeric and ginger are both anti-inflammatory. Very good if you do not want to pop Ibuprofen all day.

There is a small Indian restaurant in the back of a local Union Village gas station that has excellent indian food. In their upsaling technique, they offered me a free sample of their chai tea. Just a little half dixie cup full but it was enough for me to know I loved it. I ordered a full cup and started ordering the tea along with my meals. I asked the server what the recipe was for the tea. He said regular tea, a touch of ginger and some sweetner. I bought the fresh ginger and already had loads of black tea and sugar. I tried at least 4 different times to make the tea but could not get it right. I finally gave up on it. Fast forward a couple of years and I ran into a facebook post on chai teas and found out they are not as simple as the server made it sound. After reviewing a lot of chai teas on Amazon, I decided to try this one. (not all chai has ginger and I knew I wanted that touch of ginger in mine) This tea is excellent and almost spot on to the restaurant’s tea. The bag reads that it’s 1 teaspoon to 7 oz of water. I tried that with a splash of milk – ok, more like a 1/4 c of milk – and some honey and found it too week. I redid it with 2 teaspoons of tea, and a bit less milk and found my mix. Will be buying again.
