Back pain lifesaver!
I have found a lifesaver for my lower back issues. It arrived early this morning and I’ve used it twice today and just love it. It retains heat. Well, it is large in size so it covers what needs covered, and the Velcro adjusters are a great idea because it stays secure. I highly recommend this product, and I’m so happy I purchased it. No smell at all as others suggested.

OMG! How others have rated Revix products with anything less than 5 stars is beyond me! I bought the booties,knee pad,back pad and my body thanks the folks who made these devices. As a nurse, my job takes a toll, but these items r great. Yeah the straps could be longer with the booties ( and I can walk in them but rather be reclining), but aside from. That I LOVE THESE PRODUCTS! Got the shoulder pads also..I look like the Michelin Man but who cares. Their products are rock star no matter what the negative folks think.

Not as Hot as Others, Nice Fit, Hope it doesn’t burn through the material
I have used this type of pad most of my life, I”m 77, suffer from a back injury. I do like this style, it wraps around me nicely, for this review, must say I have about a 49″ waist and it fits me with room to spare. It is very convenient, in that it stays in place. I did not need to use the extensio that comes with it. The material is soft and feels moist when heated. It doesn’t heat nearly as hot as the pads I have purchased in the past from “Nature Creations” and it only stays hot for about 20 mins, so it doesn’t retain the heat too well. Overall, I like it. I still may urchase one from Nature Creations. Also I saw a picture of a user, (6th time she’d used it she said) where the beads had burned a hole in it. I HOPE THAT DOESN’T HAPPEN.

Easy to use, stays in place.
Just received and already used it. Easy to heat in the microwave. Really like that it can be secured and remains in one place with the Velcro straps. Easy to adjust. Came with an extra piece to extend the strap longer that I didn’t have to use. No sliding down. Also like the large area it covers on my lower back. Does not feel bulky. I put the heating pad in my microwave for 120-130 minutes. Stays warm for about 20 minutes. Didn’t time it. One thing I like about microwave heating pads, can fall asleep with them and no worries about getting burned like electric ones. They just cool off.This replaces a smaller heating pad with strap and like this heating pad a lot better. I ordered the purple color which is a pretty violet color. The material is very soft. Happy with my purchase!

Fire hazard (please read our experience)
The heat from these heating pads is a moist soothing heat to an area that is painful. The effect of the deep heat lasts for a fair amount of time.****However, we have major concerns. We just threw our 4th heating pad away due to the melting of its contents and burning. In each case, we followed the instructions, didn’t heat for a prolonged period, and watched closely to ensure the heating pad rotated smoothly and didn’t get caught on the side of the microwave. It wasn’t until today we realized there was a pattern with each heating pad we threw away. When new, the heating pad was a moist heat. As time went on, the moisture was no longer there, but still made the area where applied comforting. As I watched today, as the pad rotated, it went from being intact, to two holes appearing, smoking, and the contents burned black. The smell of burning is awful. Had I not been standing there, we would have had a fire. Typically, it gets heated for one and a half minutes and the burning happened at 54 seconds. If this happened to one of the heating pads, I’d say it was a fluke, but there is a flaw. Beware of this being a fire hazard that occurs a few months after the initial use. The contents burn and if you read the label says the contents are flax seeds, millet, and clay beads. I’m not a chemist, but something in the filler is flammable, after time, when placed in a microwave.*** The moist heat is great. I ordered another one and when the moist heat disappears, I’m going to try adding moisture to the heating pad to see if this eliminates the fire risk. It will be watched each time heated. I will do an update with the results. Sure hope I don’t cause a fire!

Love this. I have purchased for myself and then ended up giving this product to friends half a dozen times. Amazing for back pain and its nice that you can strap it on and still move around

Good idea, but filling burns through the fabric
This heating pad is great if you need to perform daily activities while using it. It’s very convenient and it’s helped my lower back a lot. However, it isn’t full of the filling. The filling shifts around and the distribution is uneven. The heating pad isn’t made well. I’ve had to buy two of these because they develop holes from being heated. I just got a hole in the second one from using it normally yesterday. The filling burns a hole in the fabric. This is the second time it’s happened. I only use mine a few times a year and I don’t understand why the filling burns through the fabric. I’m heating it up per the directions. The style is a great idea, but I ordered my third heating pad from a different company. I hope it will be more durable.

I was having so much back and neck pain at the time that I actually bought TWO microwave heating pads — this one, and one that was specifically designed for a sore neck. It was the inspiration of desperation. You know what? I should have just bought this one because it does everything. It’s shaped so that you can use it for your back, your neck, your shoulder, your knee — anything. And its velcro strap holds it in place. And the weight of it makes it sink into all the aching crevices your regular electric heating pad can’t reach. I read reviews that say the heat doesn’t last last long, and that’s both true and not true: the microwave heat dissipates, but it holds in the heat of your body, so that it’s actually warm enough to do the job as long as you want. Your body will always generate heat and this heating pad will always hold it in. I love it; I’ve been recommending it to all my friends. I recommend it to you!

This is a fantastic heat pack, my husband and I both use when our backs are sore. My husband also uses it on his shoulder. It’s so convenient being able to wrap it around and secure at the front of your waist. It really helps a lot with sore backs and is the best one I have ever used, very happy with my purchase and would highly recommend this heat pack!

I have suffered with an L5 prolapse disc for years. Whenever the back gets worse for whatever reason, I try and add a heat pack for during the day at work or if I am going out – particularly in this cold weather. I also have early onset of arthritis and get stiff joints/back/hips (I am only 55) in this damp so add heat again where possible. Up until now, I have always gone for the packs that stick either end that have magnets in them that heat up. These were fab as got really hot and lasted for hours. All day and through the night. Although they were expensive, they worked. For some reason – I can’t seem to find them anywhere? I can find the pads without the magnet pieces but I don’t find they work well at all and can easily come off. This was a bit of a punt as I have had a strap/Heated pad before that didn’t work that well. This works really well! It has some weight to it – but actually for some reason this is part of why it feels like its working. I heated the pad in the microwave for 2 minutes. 900w micro. It stays hot for about 1.5 – 2 hours. Once that initial heat has dies down – the weight and the material combined keeps that area warm too. The material covering the pad area is lovely and soft. It is a very comfortable shape for the lower back – which previously I have struggled to cover. The strap will go around a bigger person and the extension strap allows you to put it over clothes if you prefer to wear it on the outside. I would suggest a layer on the inside as the velcro straps and the extension can catch and be a bit scratchy if worn directly on the skin. Overall it is really comfortable. In fact I kind of forgot I was wearing it for most of the day at work today. My work involves multiple trips a day so I am in and out of the car. This did not budge until I took it off. Super pleased with this purchase and it has really helped when I went out one evening which meant standing around in the cold for some time. It just helped keep me warm the whole evening and definately made a difference to the stiffness I would have got, if I had gone out without it. Saving money too as reusable. Perfect Amazon purchase!
